Copenhagen
Denmark is the southernmost country in Scandinavia in northern Europe. The majority is called Jutland, a peninsula north of Germany and the two islands of Zealand and Funen Denmark shapes.
Denmark was once home to the Vikings and was later developed into a major north European power. It is now a well-functioning modern nation that participates in global political and economic integration of Europe.
Denmark is also the birthplace of one of the most popular toys – Lego. There is no better place in the world where you can buy Lego bricks than the Legoland theme park in Billund.
Those seeking peace will find many nice places on the west coast of Denmark with its fjords and plains.
Destinations

Legoland
Copenhagen (Danish: København)- the capital of Denmark. This “friendly old girl of a
town” is big enough to be a metropolis with shopping, culture and nightlife par excellence, yet still small enough to be intimate, safe and easy to navigate. It is a cultural and geographic link between mainland Europe and Scandinavia. This is where old fairy tales blend with flashy new architecture and world-class design; where warm jazz mixes with cold electronica from Copenhagen’s basements. You’ll feel you’ve seen it all in a day, but could keep on discovering more for months.
Billund- The city of the famous Lego blocks and the famous Legoland, Denmark’s biggest
tourist attraction outside Copenhagen. The second largest airport.
Ribe – Denmark’s oldest town.
Rømø – small island with a huge sandy beach of 800m width. It runs with the car in order to bridge the distance.
Vejle – Go look at the well-preserved mummy from the Iron Age, the Haraldskær Woman in the St. Nicolai Church.
Roskilde – Viking ship museum and cathedral. The home of the famous Roskilde Festival and of the Roskilde Cathedral, the cathedral in which almost every Danish king and queen was buried.
Skagen – Picturesque village on the northern tip of Jutland, visit the pine beach and nature reserve Pine where you a foot in the North stand and the other in the Baltic Sea (in summer) or gaze at the stormy sea (in the winter). Also the home of Denmark’s post-Impressionist painters of the late 19th century. Excellent art museum.
Elsinore (Helsingør) – known for Kronborgkasteel, the setting for Shakespeare’s Hamlet, located in the north of Copenhagen. Inside the castle is a museum about Shakespeare.
Kolding – An old historic city with the largest castle in Koldinghus, some interesting gardens including the Trapholt Museum of Modern Art, Applied Art, Design and Furniture.
Kalundborg – Old Town on the west coast of Zealand
Denmark has some small islands located at east of the mainland. The seas around the island Langeland has been known for sport fishing. The island is connected to the mainland by a few large footbridges. For the angler there is a wide range of good to very well-equipped holiday with storage facilities as well as a wide range of boat rentals. The residents themselves are the people of the mainland and larger islands mockery ‘Langeland’s farmers’. There are mainly agriculture and virtually no industry on the island.
